My work residency at TouchNote.
TouchNote is the world’s leading app for sending printed, personalised postcards, greeting cards and other photo products.
It all began a bit over 5 years ago when I decided to join this amazing and fun and at the time start up shortly after moving to London.
It didn’t take long for it to become something more than just a job and transform itself into a project that I was really invested it and wanted to all that I had to help it grow as much as possible and because of that , rather than just work as graphic designer, I ended up covering plenty of roles such as contribute with UI/UX, crafted what it seems to be a countless number of newsletters, shot product photography myself and later managed a photographer and a stylist to have even better result, made plenty of fun in-app micro animations, designed over 480 illustrations and much more..
Here below you’ll see selected work of of what I’ve been up to during this last years.
Here a really really small portion of some of the fun stuff that I’ve done during these years.
Father of Daughters X TouchNote.
We came up with this campaign to help TouchNote reach a key target audience during Valentine’s so we launched ‘All you need is TouchNote’ where we collaborated with top ‘InstaDad’ Father of Daughters, who wrote some humorous card greetings for us and we brought them to life turning them into a funny range of Valentine’s card artwork that could have been found in the app.
Central Saint Martins X TouchNote.
In this collaboration with Central Saint Martins we wanted to give the chance for the students to bring their own illustrations, personality and self-expression into our app, and in turn provide a huge variety of artwork to compliment our member’s card creations.
This was an opportunity for us to collaborate with new talent, and a chance to “allow students to create their own illustrations, bring their selves and their self-expression into our app, and hopefully create a huge variety of illustrations and artwork for people to use,” and for them to experience working to different targets, creating art for a new audience, and respond to real-time briefs in a working environment.
Black Lives Matter.
Being the natures of TouchNote based on thoughtfulness, kindness and diversity, I felt like we had to took a stand and show our community what our company is really about.
Beside shining a light on the matter with a series of planned newsletters, social posts and facebook ads we also decided to celebrate the work of black artists within our app adding a selection of great illustrations and playing our part in providing a wider platform to empower and promote their message further, with all profits going towards Black Lives Matter.
Share something real.
This campaign was born out of necessity to update the TouchNote ATL creative for holiday season. It tells the story of Rocky based in LA and Andrea in the UK, and how they stay close through sharing something real, as an ongoing way to communicate to stay together when they're apart.
